Hey there, I’m Carla — animal lover, nature enthusiast, and lifelong advocate for the small and often-overlooked creatures of our world.
From the moment I could walk, I was drawn to the natural world. Whether it was rescuing injured animals, bonding with the resident goat on my friend’s farm, or spending hours outdoors exploring bugs, birds, and muddy ponds — animals have always been at the forefront of my life.
Over the years, I’ve shared my home and heart with a wide variety of companions: horses, cats, birds, gerbils, frogs, ferrets — and many more. Every one of them has taught me something valuable, and deepened my commitment to animal welfare.
Today, my passion lies especially with small pets like rats, guinea pigs, and other little critters who are so often misunderstood or overlooked. I believe in creating a world where animals and humans thrive together — with compassion, curiosity, and care.
That’s why I started this blog. To share my real-life experiences (the joyful and the challenging), offer helpful tips and resources, and build a community of people who truly love and respect animals.
Whether you’re here to learn how to better care for your pets, get inspired to advocate for animal welfare, or just connect with a fellow animal lover — I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s learn, grow, and create a kinder world for all creatures, great and small.
